To RDY. from Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Gy. c. to BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Sft. {Mr Swift} X4400 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Gyl/LG14.6.29. With reference to BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /CGH {W Clough} 9/G11.6.29. It is agreed that the Works should make the external steel housings for the new Enots fittings, while Benton & Stone provide the internal mechanism. We shall then pean in this mechanism ourselves. This has been done with a view to expediting the production of these items as Messrs. Benton & Stone inform us that they prefer to cater only in brass and that they have no means of producing steel articles quickly. Will you please arrange for this to be done.
