- 2 - BY10/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 30.11.26. 5. There will be an increase in cost of the cast dash as against the present standard. Just how much I cannot say. 6. Since the cast dash has never been standardized, there has been no suggestion until the present one put forward by R, of putting it on standard. 7. 12-EX, was fitted with the modified bonnet fasteners, the fasteners in question being of the 20 HP. type. A more recent design has been received from R.{Sir Henry Royce} where the same type design of fittings are being used in slightly modified proportion. Summarising the position, - the Experimental Dept. were of the opinion that the feature of engine impulses are more noticeable with a cast dash than with the old type; although R.{Sir Henry Royce} appreciated the fault on this particular car, he was inclined to put it down to some other reason. Experimental Dept. are awaiting the results of the cast dash on EAC.VII to either confirm their conclusions or dispel them. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
