-6- 25/30 HP. CHASSIS. 1. Engine gear rattle. We have no solution for this feature. It has been dealt with in designing and developing the Wraith and improvement has been effected. 20/25 2. Servo squeaking. There are complaints of this similar to Phan.III. R.A.D.13 material is standard on this model, but the friction discs are fully floating, we are trying the effect of fixing the inner friction disc to the servo by rivetting, as there is evidence that this piece is the principal offender. 3. Brakes. (A) Complaints of inefficiency. Recommendations: (1) Carry out modification to leverage as per Depot Sheet No.Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}381. (2) See that the layout of all levers is correct. (B) Complaint of squeaking. Recommendations: Use B.Z. linings for replacement. 4. Exhaust System. Spring supports rattle and squeak as P.III. A rubber suspension similar to Wraith is now being tried out on a Trials car. When proved satisfactory it can be applied retrospectively at small cost. | ||
