- 2 - EH15/W.8.19 Contd. has been under consideration as an alternative. unless Mr. Whitehead considers it necessary will be please order no more than 500 Lucas Dynamos. 6. Battery Box and Fittings. The running board position of battery box should be ordered up for the first 250 chassis. It is quite likely that this will have to be increased to cover the whole of the 500 chassis, but if possible I should like to hold this up for a little longer. As far as we can ascertain the present battery cannot be fitted into the inside position and it is therefore necessary to enquire from the battery makers whether a different shape of battery can be obtained. There is quite a lot of work to be done on this before it can be standardised. 7. New Type Clutch Brake. I will look into this and advise you later. 8. Rear Hub. I think we should hold up this matter for some time yet, unless you and Mr. Whitehead think otherwise. 9. Pistons & Connecting Rods. Both pistons and conn- ecting rods for the first 500 chassis should for the moment be held up not only for machining but also for castings and stampings. En. | ||
