To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1371 Hsl/LG15.11.28. PHANTOM ENGINE GUARDS. X.1371 X.8290 In answer to BY7/G12.11.28. We consider the present engine guards on the Phantom quite satisfactory under the conditions here and in France. The road conditions may be considerably worse and a much slower speed used as you state in your memo. than what is generally the case over here. It would be of considerable value if Pt. could give us more particulars of speed and road conditions. American have tried shields to prevent the wheels throwing up the mud, these may be of help to Pt. in special circumstances. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
