Huckerby}28.6.38.] [Signature] [Main text:] We confirm that some time ago it was common for ventilators to be fitted to the sides of the scuttles of our cars but we had to check the practice because:- (1) When there were louvres to the bonnet warmed air entered the scuttle ventilators when these were opened. (2) The same trouble arose when the bonnet shutters were opened on cars without louvres to the bonnet. We have been aware for some time of the decreased efficiency of the ventilator in the top of the scuttle and, some time ago, Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} was good enough to promise to investigate the phenomenon which, at that time, it was suggested had something to do with the frontal development of the car. We should be glad to be advised of the results of any tests you may make so far as they affect ventilation, for the benefit of our coachbuilders. Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} | ||
