To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Hm. {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} c.c. to BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [crossed out] [Handwritten]: Sirzo Hm {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} /11/W3.12.25. We have a report from one of our outside men that the brake brackets on the Foot-brake had become twisted, and the bearings out of line by excessive and probable mis-use of the brake, in order to attempt to cure brake squeaks. I shall be glad to know if you have ever heard of a similar case, or in other words do you consider it is possible the brackets could be bent by mis-use. It is alleged that this mis-use has come about by running the car on second gear at high speeds, and jamming on the brake. • Hm. {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
