To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x216. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}2/HP.8.5.33. re Bensport Oil Pipe. We send you herewith: LeC.3481 showing the main oil delivery pipe modified in shape, and a clip provided fixed to one of the crankcase bolts, and the material of the pipe altered from copper to steel. It will be remembered that the last car in France had this pipe broken, which possibly was due to having a thermometer half way along its length, or perhaps due to spanner reaction of the thermometer union.
