We are also trying to get hold of the small proportion of "mysterious knockers" which we believe exist to see if there is a source of trouble that we have not yet identified. As was proved in Mr. Pilling's case, the damper without the car does not enable us to investigate satisfactorily. Parting the customer from his car is therefore one of our problems.
