X.2628. ------- I am of the opinion that if we have shock absorbers available we should hand a set over to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, for fitting to the above chassis. In regard to the rear springs, we should certainly fit springs which are not split on the bottom plate. If no wearing plates are available at the moment I think we should despatch the chassis without them and send the plates later, as it seems from our latest information that the split spring, will certainly not stand up satisfactorily on the roughroad it is likely to encounter in America.
