18 Hours 64 Hours

Inhibitor Solution 8.73% 16.37%
Water 3.38% 3.89%

The above figures are percentage increases in weight on similarly cut samples immersed at 70 degrees C.

These figures demonstrate the big increase in absorptive effect of the Inhibitor solution. In addition, the condition of the samples after the above 64 hours treatment shows that the one which had been in contact with Inhibitor Solution is extremely tacky, and already shows softness on the surface, whilst the one which had been in water only is still in excellent condition.

The immersed samples are sent herewith.

We are now carrying out further immersion tests on different rubber qualities, in an effort to find one which will stand up to this inhibitor solution better than the present quality".

We are also attaching hereto the samples of the material mentioned in our Laboratory Report and as you know, we are investigating this matter further with a view to preparing a quality which will be much more suitable than the quality which is at present being used.

Yours faithfully,

FOR THE COMPANY

R. {Sir Henry Royce} Sollof
