-2- Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/JH.7.8.40. Following the Oerlikon design we have provided a parking stop on the mounting. A suitable boss with ribs is shown on the cradle and we are leaving Ve/NP/Robinson to detail the bush. In red on this drawing we show the plate arms that carry the shields. A scheme of this will be provided for the approval of the Naval Authorities. In the meantime we show washers to take the place of the arms. We confirm that the finish of all the parts of this drawing, the brackets, trunnions, bolts and the nuts shall be in black Browning gun finish and also that the whole of these parts shall be looked upon as belonging to the gun and not the mounting so that they may be included in the L.O.P. and the cradle. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. will provide details of all the parts except the bushes in the cradle, the parts being given QR. numbers.
