Dear J.D.B.,

Thank you very much indeed for your letter of the 5th and for all the trouble you have taken over Byfield and Morris. The latter will be really grateful to you, but I should perhaps have warned you about Byfield, his bark is definitely worse than his bite.

I am extremely grateful to you.

I cannot understand the Marquiss of Huntly, but I will try him again.
