Dear Mr. Skinner,

Thank you for your letter of the 10th. I note your remarks. No doubt you will be forwarding the replacement needles in due course.

We have not yet had the opportunity of trying out the modified float chambers but will send you a report as soon as we have tested them.

Reverting to the German diaphragms and Bakelite valves, we have issued a Standardisation Sheet for these on the Bentley. You will no doubt hear from our Order Office as soon as the Standardisation Sheet is completed.

Mr. Grylls has asked me to report the following and asks for your comments on the matter.

When taking a right-hand bend with the Aston Martin the engine simply cuts out. This shows up especially when endeavouring to change down, the engine refuses to rev. up. This is obviously due to the petrol surging in the float chamber. However, perhaps you have some scheme to overcome this ?

Kind regards.

Yours sincerely,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
