WV. Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to Whr.{Mr Wheeler} +7772. Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}14/EDI/19-3-30. PHANTOM II. CLOSE COUPLED SALOON FOR M.R.A.I. WV23/14-3-30. Here is a copy of Barker's specification to which they are building the body. You will remember Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} told you on the telephone yesterday that the chassis will have chromium finish and Barkers are chromium plating the body mountings. The interior body mountings will be in satin finished silver-plate. In these two respects the body specification is inaccurate. Barkers are going to supply W. with sufficient Ivory cellulose to enable Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to get the bonnet sprayed. Barkers are also going to provide tool boxes with trays to fit below the running boards. The quartered and veneered walnut woodwork will be dull finished. The interior door handles are to be of the combined pull-to and lock-operating type and we have impressed on Barkers that they must be more convenient than those you and I saw in their Trials 20/25 Sedanca yesterday. The carpet will be brown to harmonise with the leather. The rear carpet will be made up but the front one will have to be cut to shape by W. The brown leather resembles that used in the driving seat of Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car, the headlining cloth that used in Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car and the Ivory is "Edgar Wallace" Ivory. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} ATTACHMENT. KEV. | ||
