MODIFICATIONS TO PHANTOM WHICH SHOULD BE INCORPORATED IN
F.2 SERIES.
---------------------------------

1. PARALLEL AXLE CONTROL.
-----------------------

a/- This was standardised 22.7.27.
It had done 100 hours on the bumper.

b/- The control in question has done 12,000
miles on one car, in addition other cars
are running with the attachment in question
fitted.

c/- This can be brought in at F.2 series.

2. REAR SPARE WHEEL CARRIER.
--------------------------

a/- This was standardised 1.6.27. It has been the
subject of a lengthy discussion between Works
and Sales, and we are still awaiting a decision.

b/- It passed the 10,000 miles test in France.

c/- On the bumper certain difficulties arose, and
improvements to cover these have been incorporated.
These improvements have passed the bumper test, but
not the 10,000 miles test.

at once, otherwise must be put back a series. This
decision affects :-

(1) Frames - length altered.
(2) Luggage Grid.
(3) Side spare wheel carrier, the plate and bolt
securing wheel.
(4) Petrol tank.

3. PRESSED STEEL WINGSTAYS.

a/- This was standardised 23.2.27. This again has been
delayed due to conflicting requirements. R.{Sir Henry Royce} is
anxious to get it, but Sales have not been able to
let us go.
