Messrs. The Magnolia Anti-Friction
Metal Co. Ltd.,
34, Victoria Street,
London, S.W.1.

Dear Sirs,

While your representative, Mr. Warburton was at our works recently, he mentioned and left a pamphlet giving particulars of your Magnolia "Mamcol" metallic packing.

We enclose herewith a scheme drawing of one of our water pumps. Will you please let us know whether your packing could be tested out by substituting it for the composition packings which we now use, what spring pressures would be required, and whether you could supply us with suitable pieces for this purpose.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
