BRAKES ON BENTLEY DYNAMO PINION.

We think that it will be found on looking at the drawing that the brakes on the dynamo pinion of the Bentley are about 1/10" clear of the drum when they are at the limit of their movement.

This is the condition noted by GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} in France. We think it has occurred due to fitting the larger dynamo on the Bentley and utilising the 20/25 brake parts. Therefore all the Bentleys have been running without these brakes which possibly is making the timing gear rattles worse than they should be. Will you please check the drawings over and will Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} correct the fifteen (15) chassis if as we anticipate they have been delivered with a fault.
