X1110 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.12/KW. Exptl. Dept. 18th April, 1936. Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd., Tachbrook Rd., Leamington Spa. For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, We have been examining the last consignment of 13½" driven discs and find that the crimping of the plates is irregular, causing out of flatness of the facings. In the course of previous discussions it has been agreed that the cushioning should be held to .030" and the run out to .020. It is very important that we should keep to these limits. As our production side is now urgently requiring 13½" plates, the writer proposes to visit your Works on Monday next to talk over the matter. Will you please advise the Lockheed Dept. that Mr. Grylls will also be coming over in connection with hydraulic jacks. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
