P. 2. SHOCK DAMPERS WITH DISTANT CONTROL.

Herewith we send N.sch.3449. shewing the arrangement of the J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. controllable shock dampers outside the frame on the P. 2. front axle.

This is a temporary sch. so that the arrangement can be tested. We shall be sending through a permanent sch. in the course of a short while.

The only alteration to existing parts is the larger hole drilled in one flange of the engine suspension cross-member, and the omission of one bolt, also the hole drilled in the frame to pass the shock damper boss.

The shock damper is unaltered except the front control chamber, and this need not be a new casting if the replenishment sch. is not used on the experimental car.
