At this stage, they will not bear the letter "R" as agreed for the Phantom lll equipment. It is understood that the advisability of a further modification to our original "90" tyre, to bring it more in line with the experimental tyres issued for the Phantom lll, and a few sets for the 20/25 HP., was under discussion. It was explained that we felt it would not be in our mutual interests to adopt such a tyre as a standard fitment without further extensive investigations, owing to the sacrifice in tyre life brought about by this modification. As we believe a number of the experimental tyres have now been removed for examination, we are wondering whether these are still available, and if so, whether they could be returned to Fort Dunlop with full details of the service they have accomplished.
