X7005. To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.1/KT.23.12.31. P.II. REAR ENGINE FEET. LoC.2923. The clearance between the rubbers and the alum casting is .100" to .125". We find no disadvantage on 25-EX and 58-GN. when the rubbers are made an easy push fit under the castings. In view of the pedal movement and relative frame to gear lever movement, we consider that for future production these rubbers should be made an easy push fit, when the weight of the engine is on the frame. On no account must these rubbers be a tight fit when erecting. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} | ||
