| (b). BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} considers that the other parts of the chassis should have been sufficiently tested to enable the F.W.B. parts to be added, tested with the chassis as a whole and the first chassis to be delivered to London within three weeks from the day on which Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} declares (from result of 10,000 miles trial) that the F.W.B. parts are O.K. (c). But BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} also takes the view that the date at which Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} gives his O.K. may be considerably later than the 14 June. BY's picture therefore of the second course is that the first deliveries to London of chassis complete with FWB may at the best take place at 7th July, whereas relying on past experience this date may possibly be the 7th August. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} hopes to have a chassis fitted with FWB running on the road about the middle of April. Reverting now to the first course, viz: 'that we should deliver chassis without FWB to which it is believed FWB can eventually be fitted' we are faced with four considerations: Firstly, that H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} says it should not be done. Secondly, that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} XXX advises we should not issue such chassis until we are certain that FWB can be successfully fitted eventually to them.
