| 261 Teddington Works WINDMILL ROAD . SUNBURY-ON-THAMES TELEPHONE SUNBURY-ON-THAMES 456. WMH/GN: April 10th, 1940. W.A. Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rollw-Royce Ltd. DERBY. Dear Mr.Robotham, I learn from London Service that my car will be ready for collection to-morrow. I am very pleased with the speed with which they have done the repair. They tell me that the engine can be driven normally as outlined in the Instruction Book without any running in period. I feel a little uneasy about this and would like to learn from you whether this really is the case or whether I would do better to go easy for say 1000 miles. I wrote a note to Mr.Hives on April 2nd about the cost of the repair but I have not yet had a reply. If you have an opportunity of mentioning the matter to him I would like to get the point settled because if I have to get rid of the car I think that it will sell better straight from your Service Department than after it has been used. On the other hand, I live in hopes that it will not be necessary to sell it. Yours sincerely, [Signature] W.Martin-Hurst. | ||
