| Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/ML. 11.4.40. J.Howlett,Esq., Wellworthy Pistons Ltd., Lymington, Hants. Dear Howlett, Thank you for your letter of the 4th. April. Please don't think that we do not treat you as a private customer. On the contrary, you may rest assured that you will always receive the service that we should give to any other Bentley owner. Just recently I have become involved in several cases where friends of mine and of the Company have had mishaps with their cars and have told me they do not think they should pay; of course, I should like to do everything for them free of charge but unfortunately there are some sordid financial magnates who expect to make a profit out of the business. Will you therefore please write to Mr. Cowan, who always deals with such matters and also as to what should be done free of charge. This ensures that everybody gets the same fair treatment. Yours sincerely, | ||
