Z Brushes with Annealed Commrs.
A set of Z brushes on Lancashire as above has now completed a bench run.
The positive is most well polished except at the leading edge; the remainder is smooth or blackened in varying amounts in bands parallel to the commutator segments.
The negative & control brushes are both fairly smooth, but slightly duller on the trailing sides.
The commutator is polished and almost uniform in colour (a light brown).
The brush wear is:-
Positive .0045", Negative .003", Control .0045" which is a very good result.
