Contd. -2- E1/G19.1.21. Mr. Royce intends now to use a short solid link for the rear end of the front spring, attached to the under-side of the side channel in the manner used on the 40/50 H.P. The front spring has been straightened and inclined to accomodate the alteration to the link. We would further point out that the floor-boards are 2" above the top of the frame and that item (1) of Mr. Royce's memo H6/G17.1.21, is superseded by his later memo R3/G18.1.21, and the attached drawing. Also, we would point out that the 5 1/2" bump mentioned in item (3) of the former memo is a metal to metal bump without buffers. The gauge of the frame has been made .104" now instead of .128". Would you kindly issue the necessary instructions for the new side channels. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
