6th October 1938

Dear Alan,

I have had the pleasure of seeing Withers and he produced the three patterns enclosed. They are all the same quality ( which is presumably the best). He thinks that the one where I have put a pin is most like yours and is the best of the three. Would you please put them into the enclosed envelope, and a little note saying that you approve or disapprove.

I have not yet got the comparative weights of the enclosed, and leather as originally contracted for.

I should like to mention the fact that I am very much obliged to you for going to see Withers yesterday afternoon. It is extremely kind of you to take so much trouble for

Yours humbly,

Kennedy
