(3) It is interesting to note that the Admiralty, who are installing Diesel Oil Engines on battle-ships for the electric lighting plant, are considering the advisability of co-operating with some manufacturers for the production of a fuel from coal-tar, and there is a great likelihood of this source of liquid fuel being developed to a large extent in the near future. We should propose to install 3-phase generators. This would enable us to make use of the motors which we have in our shop after they have been changed by the Corporation. | ||
