Present:- Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} referred firstly to the proposed modification to the 20/25 carburetter to improve petrol consumption by fitting Floatchamber Balance Scheme LeC.4292. The factory cost of this modification is estimated to be 11/7d. It was decided to urge the standardisation sheet through with an explanatory note to the signatories pointing out that it is not necessary to run 15,000 miles test as the parts are not moving ones and to apply it on production at the earliest moment. It was also agreed that it should be applied retrospectively in cases of complaint only. The six important items on SpectreCodename for Phantom III were reviewed as follows:- (1) Strap Type Connecting Rods. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} reported that assembly had now commenced. (Leave off Agenda) (2) Exhaust Manifolds. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} reported still on test. Will report at next meeting. (3) Modifications to Bottom-half Crankcase. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} now has all he requires. (Leave off Agenda) (4) Gear Box Modification. RHC.{R. H.
