Iliffe & Sons Ltd., Dorset House, Stamford Street, LONDON, S.E.1. Dear Mr. Geoffrey Smith, Confirming this morning's telephone conversation. We understand that if the weather and road conditions permit, you would like your Bentley car to be driven to London to-morrow, the 24th inst., by your son, Mr. Maurice Smith, but that if the conditions are unfavourable, he is to travel by rail, and you yourself will collect the car after the holidays.
