Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has passed to us your memo to reply to. with regard to :- 1 - At the moment it is indefinite when chassis 98-NK will be sent out again. 2- In view of (1) would it not be advisable to request the Barclays Bank (Overseas) Ltd to return the original guarantee for cancellation and we will have a new one issued when the car is again sent to France. There is also the question of the amount of the guarantee to be considered, as you will recall 117,000 francs, represented £1,300 @ 90 francs to the £. The present rate is approximately 92.50 francs, so that £1,300 would now be equivalent to 120,250 francs. BP 8 | ||
