To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} x8992. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/MJ. 29.9.30. R's Car For France. With reference to RL/M26.9.30. We do not consider it practicable to run demonstration work with the car R.{Sir Henry Royce} has at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence. Our own view is that you should insist that R.{Sir Henry Royce} has his own car and has a driver there the whole time. Apart from the use of the car for pleasure runs, there is the daily marketing which cannot be done without a car. You will see by Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/M26.9.30 that if the car has half the things on it which are suggested it would be very much different to the standard cars which we should be selling on that date.
