TO E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} } FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} (RG.{Mr Rowledge} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} crossed out) Copy to CJ. EXHAUST CUTOUT. X 4269 (X3740 crossed out) Some time ago I suggested in-ternal single butterfly valve, all exhaust always coming out of the usual swan neck. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} could not get this to work but I cannot see why yet, and it would be so very good and convenient because the fumes underneath the car get into a closed body. (I even find this on Goshawk; 40/50 should be worse.) Also it would enable us to use a single butterfly valve that need not be a wonderful fit. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
