PHANTOM - LOUVRED BONNETS. 42260 We have carried out careful comparative cooling efficiency tests with the new type louvres to N.sch.2064 and standard bonnet shutters. The tests were carried out on a Phantom car under normal hill climbing conditions. The results shew that the new type louvres are slightly superior (2%) to the standard shutters in cooling efficiency at speeds round about 30 m.p.h. We could not observe any difference between the efficiency of the new type louvres and the louvres which were objected to on the score of ugliness. We suggest a louvre of the modified design should be instructed for 20 HP. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
