PHANTOM III WATER CIRCULATION
BY2/G6.7.36
As we have already reported there are a number of cylinder heads in current production which are unsatisfactory with regard to water temperature.
We have carried out the recommendation of the Experimental Dept. on an engine which is affected and we have to report that it has not effected the improvement which we expected.
Before the holes were plugged up the average temperature variation between the front and rear end of the cylinder was 11°. Since plugging up the average temperature is 7°.
As there are a number of cylinder heads involved, we should like a ruling as to whether a variation of 8° is considered passable.
