X31.T. Experimental Dept. hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}6/KT. Oct 27th 1933. Donald Sessions & Co. Ltd., 906 Harrow Road, Willesden, London. N.W.10. For the attention of Mr. Donald Sessions. Dear Sirs, Confirming our conversation yesterday, we are very pleased with the effect of the two speed jack handle, a sample of which you demonstrated, and we should be glad if you will submit to our Mr. Royce a figure for this improved handle. We should be glad if you would let us have a handle of this type to test out; we shall of course have to carry out our usual tests before it can be standardised. With regard to your query for a suitable metal for the gear box, we confirm that RR.50 alloy would be satisfactory, and we suggest that The Heritier Foundry Co., Tyburn Road, Gravelly Hill, Birmingham, should do the castings; these people do the S.U. carburetter castings in the same alloy. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
