RE STARTER MOTOR - 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS. X. 3082

The starter motor on chassis 7CA at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town is too low in position, and the chain when the slightest bit slack, rubs on the undershield.

If this car is standard in respect to the motor position, Mr. Royce would like you to put an alteration in hand to raise the motor. It appears possible to decrease the centre distance between the motor axis and the suspension tube by .200".
