To EFC. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to CJ. " " BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} " " BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " " DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} " " EH. X2448 RE LOW TENSION WIRING - 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS. X3580 Referring to our scheme of distribution board LeC.1107, you will notice that this design is dependent somewhat on the diameter of the conductors to be used. We have used unarmoured cables for the connections between the top of the distribution board and the material on the instrument board, and armoured cables for all connections at the bottom of the distribution board, the conductors from which wander about the chassis, being fixed thereto with metal clips. The first mentioned unarmoured conductors are shewn at .175" outside diameter, while the single armoured ones are shewn at .225" over the armouring. We should be glad if you would make sure that we can obtain low tension conductors to these sizes with insulation and current carrying capacity to suit our purpose. S.D.
