TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M5.5.27. C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} HEAT SHIELD FOR EAC.7. SILENCER. X/230 X3808 We thank you for your Sch. 915., and although we agree that it would clear the various obstructions, we think the brackets should be flexible in the longitudinal direction to allow for expansion. We therefore suggest on N. scheme 2412., (herewith) that they should be fastened to the forged flange piece itself, suitable platforms being formed on this either in the forging or by welding. We think the strip brackets bent out of the square should not present any difficulty. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
