FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Copy to - HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} P. 2. SCUTTLE N. 2. SERIES. ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M7.11.30. x4613 BY/CGH{W Clough}5/G11130. We thank you for the print of F.82854 and your memo. This print appears now to fulfil the requirements of both HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} in connection with their practical experience with scuttle isolation schemes. We would like to have the assurance of the Expl. Dept. that the one eighth of clearance between the back of the bonnet and the face of the scuttle will prove adequate. As you know at the present we are asking for three eighths clearance here. We realise that in this scheme we have a continuous insert of sponge rubber, and harder rubber washers.
