W.A.Robotham, Esq., Messrs.Rolls-Royce Limited, Derby. Dear Robotham, Many thanks for your letter of the 24th instant, which I did not receive until yesterday, and it was quite impossible for me to travel to Derby on either of the two days you mention. With regard to the last paragraph of your letter, I naturally do not want to make the journey to Derby for nothing, if the possibility of your going ahead with the development work on a road vehicle engine is now out of the question, and, of course, I fully appreciate the reasons at the present time for such a decision. I should be glad, therefore, before making my visit if you would tell me whether you have definitely decided to stop that particular development. Yours sincerely, H.{Arthur M.
