We note the "Mellotone" horns were fitted below the headlights and are consequently sorry to have troubled you.
We did so because in D/BP/HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector}5/MW25.11.37 we were given a list of special features fitted to this chassis "as agreed by Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}".
One item in this list read "Mellotone" horns under the apron". Apparently it should have read ""Mellotone" horns under the headlights".
We appreciate that the addition of the standard horns will complicate the wiring but Mr. Mays made it very clear that he wants these as well as the "Mellotone" and there is, we fear, no alternative but for us to arrange for the standard horns to be fitted.
