To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to Hl. X4469 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG18.5.29. NITRO ALLOY. It is now many months since R.{Sir Henry Royce} instructed that we should make certain parts from this alloy and run it on experimental cars to gain experience. Except for a pump spindle, we are not yet running any of these parts. We still think it would be quicker, if there is no immediate prospect of getting some pieces, to send the drawings of some simple pieces to France and let them supply the parts complete.
