Request to fit a five-bladed Cadillac fan and thermometers to car 39-EX for tests at Brooklands.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.3/AP.5.8.37 We want one of the five bladed Cadillac fans with 1/1 ratio drive (similar to the 12 sets which you are preparing for use in case of complaints) fitted to 39-EX. car for tests at Brooklands tomorrow. We are putting the car into the Shop this morning for this fan to be fitted - we will supply the fan and belt and one of the two extra driving pulleys ordered (with the 12 sets mentioned above) should also be fitted. No starting handle support base need be fitted, but bosses on timing case must be removed. If possible, we should also like a thermometer pocket fitted to the bottom water pipe with a thermometer fitted to same and a thermometer fitted in Std. position of petrol pumps - we will supply the thermometers for this purpose.
