X 8400 My/Eng- BY14/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 25.2.27. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PHANTOM. COMBINED LUGGAGE GRID AND SPARE WHEEL CARRIER AT THE REAR OF CHASSIS. - ARRANGEMENT NO.F.76225. With reference to the prices which have been given for the above, namely, Cost of old part...................£21. 2. 0. Cost of new part...................£37.15. 9. Difference per car.................£16.13. 9. this information is not sufficiently detailed to enable either the D.O. or Sales to come to a definite decision on policy. In order to make reasonable decisions we must have the following information:- 1. What is the increased price on a chassis if we deliver with the two pressed extensions of the frame with the cross tube plus registration plate, instead of the present standard scheme of a bracket rivetted into the frame to which to attach the luggage grid carrier and a scheme on the petrol tank for carrying the number plate. 2. What is the cost of adding to this a luggage grid. 3. What would be the cost of fitting a spare wheel carrier complete without luggage grid. If there is any question as to numbers of parts going to make up any one of these positions, if you will let me know we will supply the information required, but until we get this information I cannot obtain a decision from Sales - a/- Whether the parts are to be made at all. b/- If they are to be made, what is our policy in regard to certain parts being supplied with every car as a convenience to enable either of the other proposals to be carried out cheaply at a coachbuilders.
