RE. 40/50 HP. SILENCER SNOUT.

We notice on numbers of 40/50 HP. cars, the
silencer snout has been opened up between the bars welded
in the end of the snout, due to explosions in the silencer.
This has happened although the bars have not given way.
We recommend that the gauge of the material for
the snout is increased to 14 S.W.G.
