3. A gear according to claim 2 comprising a shaft driven by the slipping clutch and having the driving member of one reversing clutch secured on it and the driving member of the other reversing clutch connected to it for common rotation but with freedom for limited axial movement and having the driven members of the two reversing clutches rotatable about the portion of its length between the two said driving members, means for restraining the said driven members from axial movement, a spring compressed between abutments on the shaft and the second said driving member to move them axially relatively to one another and engage both clutches and means for selectively moving axially either the second said clutch member or the shaft to disengage one or other clutch. 4. A gear according to claim 3 comprising two bevel pinions secured respectively to the driven members of the two reversing clutches and a bevel wheel or pair of bevel wheels meshing with both pinions and transmitting the supplementary drive to the tracks. 5. A gear according to claim 3 in which the means for disengaging one or other clutch comprises a member located between opposed abutments on the second said driving member and the shaft respectively and movable axially to engage one or other abutment and move the part on which that abutment is carried. 6. A gear according to any of the preceding claims in which the means for engaging and disengaging the clutches is operated by compressed air. 14. | ||
