TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} 6 EX ORIGINAL R10/M25.6.24. 6. EX. --- X3923 Regarding the above, I asked PN.{Mr Northey} to drive it, as I thought it was very excellent for power and vigorous pick up. He thought the engine harsh at slow speeds, and we found it had not been fitted with friction dampers. Perhaps these will be fitted when you are modifying the car for front wheel brakes. The setting of the carburetter and both ignitions appears to be very favourable for power. Several of the tyres are only fit for scrap. Perhaps you will be coming to WW. soon, when it is intended that 6.EX. shall be changed and returned to Derby. Mr. Haldenby is also expected.
