Re Tests on S2 Battery (155).
This battery was removed from chassis 8EX for bench tests to be taken after having run 13,377 miles.
On low rate discharge through a constant external resistance of 1.80w, 64.0 ampere hours were realised, & all cells showed positive weakness on the cadmium test.
Following a full charge a high rate discharge through a constant external resistance of .100w was taken.
Initial amperes = 109.0
Time to 104" = 7.5 min
" " 100" = 12.2 "
" " 90" = 15.2 "
" " 80" = 18.0 "
All cells showed negative weakness on the cadmium tests.
On both the above tests the Exide cells were slightly better in capacity than the P&R cells.
